To remove the partition and reformat your drive, you will need to find a Windows 2000 or XP bootable CD. Insert the CD and begin installation, and when it gets to the screen about choosing a partition delete the current partition and any others that may be on there. Reboot the system. Then you should be able to use FDISK or whatever to make a new partition & format. Hope this helps.
