You can type msconfig in WinXP now to solve your startup issues. About your USB problems,
open up your box and reseat ALL cables...I had one loose IDE CDROM cable that was
causing me USB headaches. I discovered this by accident.
Now both my camera and my joystick initialize and run perfectly on reboot and cold
boot as well!
Also check your IRQs...I noticed that on my motherboard (K7VZA, Via KT133A) every
PCI slot is allocated to one specific IRQ...and IRQ9 was shared by video card, sound
card AND USB...I thought this was a bad idea so I decided to move the card away from
it.
