I have the same problem, execept I've tried both with using the upgrade method and
the advanced dual boot method, I've copied the i386 directory to the HDD and have
setup from that, but it seems no matter what method I use it always freezes when
it goes to reboot the first time when installing. It will copy files and all that
then its time to reboot and complete the setup, it reboots, they with win xp black
screen shows up, then a few seconds later the screen goes blank, the keyboard lights
turn off completely and none of the keys work at all, not even ctrl+alt_delete. The
monitor is still on, but no video, the system and everything inside is still going,
it just seems to freeze, its weird, I've been searching all over to try and find
someone with similiar experiences but to no avail. And yes my copy of XP works fine,
because I've used the exact same copy to install on a computer thats about 3 years
"older" and it installed perfect the first time with no problems. weird. Any suggestions?
:)
