Easy but Annoying - same thing caught me out for a couple of days. There are several ways BUT Right click My Computer Click properties - bottom of list System Properties - Advanced Tab Performance - Click settings 2nd off bottom of the list click to tick - 'Use drop shadows...etc' Immediate satisfaction!!! System Properties is available through other routes.
