I can't offer any help but I can tell you that I can not shut down. I click shut down in XP Pro and it acts like it is shutting down then at the end it restarts. I end up just pushing the power button. But thats not all, if I hit the sleep button on the keyboard or on the shut down menu xp completely crashes no warnings nothing just a restart with a scandisc upon restart. I've heard the same stuff from others here so it appears there is a problem with xp.....guess they want us to leave our pcs on forever.
