hdd disappears Friday, November 9, 2001 at 6:17 am Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Ben (6 messages posted) I've noticed sometimes my extra hdd will just disappear, and cant be accessed until i totally shut down the computer (restart doesnt seem to do it). the drive letters are still correct, just that D is missing my main hdd in ntfs format, and the one that disappears is fat32. i think perhaps it has somethign to do with XP putting the hdds to sleep after 20 mins, set in the power control panel? any suggestions?
