I did just that (clean install on a new drive and partition)and run 384 mhz ram on
a p3 700. It went from smooth, to hanging, to non functional in a matter of days.I
tried a reinstall from the cd by switching the boot device to the cd but end up at
a D:\Windows prompt with no reinstall-ish commands(DOS is not my stong point).Just
the generic commands ie cd,format,rd, etc etc.Safe mode system restore hangs with
unknown disk error yet scandisk shows nothing. The only new stuff I installed was
the plus pack and a windows update that kept nagging me.
Any ideas out there??
