Removing win 98 after dual XP install

I have created a dual boot-up when installing XP, in order to compare my Win 98 to XP. Now that I am quite happy with XP, I would like to change completely to XP and have it as the sole operating system on my Computer. The problem is Win 98 can not be uninstalled because it was a fresh install. At the moment both sysytems are on a single HD with two partitions, Win 98 on C and Win XP on E. Do I have to reformat C ? What happens if I merge the two partitions into one with Partition Magic , which system will boot then ? I am trying to save the headache of reinstalling XP, and hope there is a way to go to an XP single boot-up by somehow getting rid of Win 98. Thanks in advance Andre
