HELP!
A few days after installing XP, my machine mysteriously
crashed as if someone pressed the restart button. After it restarted I received thre
following error message.
'The system has recovered from a serious error'
BC Code: d1 BCP1:F9E450CB BCP2:00000002
BCP3: 00000001 BCP4:817A4A54 OS Ver5_1_2600
SP:0_0 Product:256_1
C:\Windows\Minidump\Mini 110701-02.dmp
C:\Docume~1\Frank~1\Locals~1\Temp\Wer1.dir00\sysdate.xml
This message would appear after I would boot up. I decided to start from scratch.
I set Bios to boot from
CD so I could reformat my c partition and start out clean. During my reload of
XP the system stopped with the message
'A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to
your computer'
This message had more, but not important for this inquiry.
I tried to load XP again, The load failed during installation again. Tried one
more time, this time all went OK. Loaded Photoshop, Scriptware (screenwriting program)
and FreeSolitaire. All seemed
OK, two days later while printing photo from Photoshop the machine crashed again.
Restarted, same message as earlier noted.
I'm using a 450 processor, PC32000 MB, 256mem. ATI Rage Fury, SB Sound Card. This
is all basic stuff.
Can anyone help? Thanks
