Does Win XP network with W98?

I have two pcs, XPhe in one, 98se in the other, and sharing ADSL. First I executed
the network wizard and run it on the W98 and everything failed, i could not access
files or internet. now I "manualy" share the ADSL (in properties of the connection,
in adv. prop, ICS) , but now I can't access the WIN98 files.
By the way, i already try to reconfigure the win98 pc.
