Tuesday, November 20, 2001 at 6:23 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Tony (6 messages posted) I have a question about How do I skip the Product Activation in Windows XP?: I have been running XP pro for a couple weeks now and have had more crashes (er, rather XP initiated "restarts") and hang ups than i ever had in win2000. Im sure there must be service packs on the way (hopefully), BUT i have opted to keep this machine off the net (modems are painfully slow). I have tried to use windowsupdates.com to "lookfor" packs, but this damn thing is "automatic" (according to MS, windows users are not only thieves, but they are also total idiots). Is there any where i can find or get packs for an XP machine that is not on the net? BTW, I emailed MS with the same query a week ago and have heard NOTHING from them--add worthless to the list of idiots and thieves.
