The error message "Setup requires a different version of Windows" means just that. 
 Most likely the program you have is for Win9x/Me, but not for NT/2000/XP.  I ran 
into the problem a few times, too.  You'll either need to find out whether there's 
a fix for the program to be run on XP, or you'll end up buying a version of the program 
that will run on NT/2000/XP.
