bare with me, im not that computer smart, but i upgraded from ME to XP, and i too
have had several crashes.i have updated all my drivers, got all my windows updates.
got norton system works, been in and out of xp in several different ways, i tried
a new install instead of an upgrade,i have done all i can do. mine crashes too, and
it gets in a "restart loop" and cant be recovered from, i try f8 to use safe mode,
i try to use the xp disk and use the Repair console, i have done just about all i
can think of. i can get it to work for a few days, then BAM, there it goes again,
and i have to reload XP. i called MS, got some tech help, they said it may be a hardware
conflict with my modem, i changed modems, and it seemed to fix it...was running great,
then a few days later, once again it crashed and started the restart loop. if i find
out and services packs or tips, i will let you know. if you would like to write me....allenx1966@aol.com.
