It might be your BIOS, did you ever check that, i know before i could upgrade my
computer it need the BIOS that worked with 2000. It needs to be a special BIOS, if
you look in the upgrade book it tells you all about it. and when your computer starts
up it cn tell you what BIOS it is, you can probally go to the web site and download
it. Since i bought mine they had the upgrade on the site of the manufacture.
