I don't think your problem has to do with XP. I've been playing Max Payne on my
XP system for quite some time, and it works beautifully....
That, however, is a unique error message you are getting. I would recommend going
to the manufacturers websites of the games you're trying to play and get the latest
patches available. Also, visit the windowsupdate site to get the latest compatibility
patches and driver updates.
Furthermore, you can mess around with the compatibility mode of the game. Find the
EXE and right-click on it, then click Properties. Click the Compatibility tab, and
then you can change the settings.
