I have loaded Windows XP and Office XP and the drivers disk for the 1200 series
HP Laserjet printer. In addition to this I have downloaded a 'communication patch'
for Windows XP supplied by HP on their website and the printer still seems to respond
in a flaky manner at times. At times it will only print a certain number of pages
of a particular document. At other times it works flawlessly. There seems to be
no paticular pattern to the printer's antics. It seems to have a complete mind of
its own in this regard. I have spoken to HP support and they didn't even seem to
know about the patch that was available for Windows XP. I am guessing that the engineers
from the respective companies are still working on this problem. But for now it
is rather inconvenient. Please respond if you have found anything similar.
