Strange Temp Internet Folder Size

Hey there,
Win XP Prof. installed on a 8 Gb HD. The strangest thing happened to my system. My
C:\Documents and Settings\etammer\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files...is waaay
to BIG! .........231MB (!?) Even with - internet options - 'Days to keep pages in
history' set to 0 and 'Amount of diskspace to use on 40MB. Scandisk can't find a
damn thing wrong with my HD. I'm running low on diskspace so I tried to empty this
bucket, but explorer shows NO FILES ( WITH Show Hidden Files and Folders checked).
AND...the properties of this folder display this info: 190 files in 9 folders!
Does anybody have an answer here?
