I had some of the same issues but I found the major problem was that I hadn't enabled sharing properly. In Explorer, click on My Computer, then right click on HardDrive (C:) and select "Sharing and Security. If you've already enabled this, I'm stumped. Good luck. It works fine when it has all the ducks in order.
