Smartlink Modem ''IGNORE CALL''

I have a smartlink 56k modem amd I'm running WinXP. Everytime I start IE a pop-up 
displays that I've ignored an incoming call. It does it a few times and then disconnects 
me. I've installed all of the up to date drivers (I'm currently using the one from 
windows update.) and turned off the firewall. I've also tried the modem at different 
port speeds. Its still doing it. Someone please Help!!
