Besides the other responses you got, I would consider the following:


On both XP installs I have done on two different machines, I had no sound (legacy SB boards). Getting sound up was as simple as doing a hardware install and bringing in the XP drivers for SB-compatible sound boards. Bingo, sound came up in both instances. --Ray
