That's because XP is set to (default) reboot whenever a fatal error happens... (was pretty stupid of MS to put this in... lot's of ppl will have comps rebooting for no apparent reason now lol). Go to system properties in the ctrl panel or hit (windows+break) (how appropriate) =(windows key + pause/break key), then go to the advanced tab, click on 'startup and recovery' settings button, and uncheck 'automatically restart' :)
