Can't say why you'd see this problem, but you can check on write-caching for the
drive this way...
Right-click on the drive in My Computer/Explorer; select Properties, then the Hardware
tab. Make sure the proper drive is selected, click Properties, then the Policies
tab.
They really try to hide these settings, don't they. :)
