I've not done it yet, but as I understand the procedure, you set your BIOS to boot
from the CD-ROM drive, then pop in the XP CD and it takes over from there. You can
partition and format you HD from the XP CD.
As I understand it, if you have an update edition, you will need to put the original
CD from an old Win OS when asked to confirm you're qualified for the update.
At least I think this is how it works, but I'm sure if I'm mistaken someone more
knowledgable will correct me.
