This problem occured out of the blue, after installing tweakui. The only
change made was to bypass logon. My CD writer (slave) which is a TDK velocd 12x 10x
32x 24x is now all of a sudden not seen, and it was working fine.
The master Cd is the one that came on the machine, a compaq SC-140S
and the computer is a compaq Presario 7595 20 gig drive with an Intel Celeron
processor 564mhz with 512 ram.
I can't seem to locate the IRQ's to see what IRQL is.
I thought XP had a real smart restore feature but I can't find that either.
Haven't installed any new hardware and the last software was tweakui.
XP loads after a while now but is very slowwwwwww.
I can't access Safe Mode, I get the following screen.
=============================================================
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage
to your computer.
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen,
restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow
these steps:
Check to make sure any new hardware of sortware is properly installed.
If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer
for any windows updates you might need.
If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware
or software. Disable BIOS memoyr options such as caching or shadowing.
If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart
your computer, press F8 to select advanced Startup Options, and then
select safe mode.
