Outlook Express identity switch slow under XP

I'm running a Dell 1.2 gig using newly installed XP. Using Outlook Express, it sometimes
takes up to a minute from when I switch from one identity to another, especially
if I double click the name rather that click the name then click OK. Anyone have
any ideas what might cause this?
