disk drives not recognized Thursday, December 20, 2001 at 4:51 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Muthesius (2 messages posted) I installed Win XP a couple of weeks ago and everything went well (except the requisite software incompatibilities). Yesterday after installing Nero both my CD Rom and CD-RW drives quit working. I unistalled and re-installed updated drivers as the MS troubleshooter suggested. The error message "code 19" pops up in addition to "configuration info incomplete or damaged in the registry" when reinstalling hardware. I looked through the references in the registry and did not see anything that stood out as grossly erroneous. Anybody know what's going on?
