No guarantees, but boot into Safe Mode and then remove the driver(s) in Device Manager. That might do the trick. In 98 and ME sometimes you'd find multiple instances of one driver, that was only visible in Safe Mode. Multiple instances of the same driver sometimes argue with each other....
