Good News, XP has built in support for application compatibility.
Click 'Start -> Help & Support -> Enter 'compatibility wizard' in the search field.
There should be a few choices now, but the one you want is something like 'getting
old programs to run on Windows XP.' Inside, there is a wizard to help you.
Alternatively, you can locate the install.exe/setup.exe for your app, right-click
on it, and you should see a new tab called 'Compatibility', this should allow you
to choose a 'compatibility mode'
