Well I have officially tried each of the three DVD/MP3 Bundles currently offered for XP which are Cyberlink XP Powerpack, Cinemaster by Ravisent and Intervideo XP Pack. I tried each one in the order shown. This post is for those who are interested in these bundles but keep in mind that results may differ for each person. Cyberlink - Had troubles with DVD but MP3 Encoder worked fine. DVDs would not play on limited accounts or with hardware acceleration enabled. Cinemaster - Had troubles with MP3 Encoder, it would not work. DVD play back was good but would not play on limited accounts and had some trouble with hardware acceleration. Intervideo - This one works great for me. DVD, MP3, Hardware acceleration and DVDs work on limited accounts. I disabled hardware acceleration after comparing the image quality and finding that disabled looked better. Then I read the Read-Me file and it even states that image quality would most likely be better with hardware disabled. Hardware acceleration really is not needed on higher end systems anyway but might come in handy on lower end systems. Just some info.. hope it helps some of you in your decisions. If you are planning on a bundle or just DVD Decoder, I would start in opposite order that I tried since each one was an improvement of some sort. Cost of each is identical.
