Although I can visit the Windows Update Site and check what I need to download I cannot download anything. The download apparently starts but never gets beyond 0K. After a while it gives up and I get a message hat the installation failed. There is no suggested remedy other than try again. I have tried changing various IE settings such as FTP mode HTTP 1.1 settings etc, and have tried three different Internet connections. I get the same problem on Windows 95 and 2000 as well though in the past I have had no problems with downloading updates for these and have not changed anything on these computers recently. Is the web site just too busy? I am in the UK. There are about 15 updates for my XP computer including 3 critical updates.
