Check out the TDK support site http://www.tdk.com/support/velocdsup24x.html. They
address the issue of slow burning on 24-10-40 CD-RWs.
FWIW I'm running a TDK 24-10-40 on a Dell 45Mhz PIII with 348MB RAM with XP {Home},
and it seems to be working just fine. While I didn't time it, it took me less that
10 minutes to copy a 660MB CD last night using only my TDK CD-RW.
