I have found the same problem on Japan (using ISP Asahi-net). Good to know this is not Japan specific problem but global MS update site problem. Updates have been working fine at least a month ago. Now it fails after or during the download. It just shows there are updates available but fails during installation. Can you report this to MS telephone service. From here it is difficult. BR,
