re: Garbled sound Monday, January 14, 2002 at 5:42 am Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Aaron Hunt (3 messages posted) I used to have the same problem in Windows 2000 and for a short time in XP too...the thing that solved it for me eventually was in device manager...go to the one called "Computer" and change the driver to "Standard PC" this does however mean that it will re-install all your hardware...therefore if you already have custom driver setups on any of your hardware make sure that you have the disks or setup files should you need them. You need to change it to standard PC then restart...this SHOULD solve your problems...
