Hi Tracy , this may not sound at all logical , but please try it , delete the connection from network connections , now before you recreate it,create another user account in XP (control panel >user accounts) so you have at least 2 users available , then log on to the default or admin and create the connection again, when it asks if you want to make this connection available to all users of this computer > yes , that should fix it.
