I have the same configuration as you do, except that my Internet connection is through
a cable modem.
I can access any Internet site via both computers but I don't remember the steps
I went through to get that to happen.
OTOH, my XP Pro PC is unable to see the shared drives on my old Win98SE PC using
workgroup computing. My Xp Pro PC also got an access violation in spoolsv.exe while
trying to setup my workgroup again over my existing workgroup. Could this be related
to the reason why Xp Pro can't see the Win98SE's shares?
Thanks,
Michael Bloom
