I was having the same problem installing Windows XP on a P2 300MHZ 96MB RAM. The
solution:
The problem is an outdated BIOS, obtain an update from the vendor or...
When installing Windows XP, At the beginning Blue screen which says: Press F6 to
install thrid party SCSI or Raid (something to that extent)
Once you see that remark in the bottom, immediately hit F7. Worked beautifully!!
Let me know if this works, curious, it worked on mine.
