Dayyumm...been there..
If you are getting a constant restart, try removing any and all pci devices minus
the BARE essentials...(vide0 or agp)..My problem was with the Athlon k7900 TB and
the Asus K7V.....hmmm...worked on the other one so what the @#$%@#...it usually comes
down to a chipset incompatability...(in my case that is). If you Own a VIA BASED
CHIPSET MOTHERBOARD and you also have a CREATIVE SB LIVE SOUNDCARD installed...yu
are gonna get some screens,,,,trust me. Seems that there is an incompatible timing
sequence between the Emu10k1 and the 686B chipset..Via has a Latency program and
a 4 way memory enabler...(bios has built in) that seems to have helped a bit....the
only way I solved my prob was to get another card that I knew for a FACT was compatible
with my equiptment,,
::::When in doubt, give your puter a bath:::::
Good luck,
MFH
