This problem started when I tried to install a ATI 7500 All in ONE Radeon...BAD IDEA!!. Now no matter what I try I can't get Windows XP to recognize that I have an audio device. All of the audio hardware shows up just fine, even the audio codecs say they are working proberly. I have done the standard, remove and reinstall latest drivers, moved the card (one of them is integrated in the motherboard) and still XP still reports "no audio device" I am thinking something may have gotten screwed up in the registry but I can't pin it down. I have tried to use System Restore, but of course that didn't work at all. Said it couldn't restore no matter how far back I went. ANY ideas would be greatly appreciated. I have search the internet for people with similar problems and have found one or two. No responses to either of these inquiries. I do NOT want to have to start from scratch!!
