I am glad to hear you seem to have resolved your problem for now but would ask why
you feel you need to have Goback on your XP system, this software in my limited experience
using it, is very system intrusive,
in that it makes changes to system files and interupts the boot sequence, and as
you say in your latest post it did not work where XPs restore feature did,so in my
humble opinion I think it may just be one possible cause of your problems and if
it did not work when you needed it not worth the hard drive space
