I've been using crossover for a couple of years with RJ-45, with Win98. Using Cat-5
cable, cross
the orange wire with the orange and white, also cross the green with the green and
white.
I bought wall plates at Home Depot with RJ-45 wall plugs and a little blue tool for
connecting the cat5 cable.
I crossed the wires behind the wall and used a regular patch cable. I wished I had
used regular
wall connection w/crossover patch cable. Because now I have 3 computers and need
a hub instead.
