You're gonna need the WinXP cd to pull this off: insert the xpcd in your D: drive cdrom, reboot the computer (make sure you have cdrom set to boot first in your BIOS), let the cd run until you get to "Welcome To Setup" message, hit your "R" key on your keyboard, this will take you to the recovery console (kinda like DOS), select your setup type, then, if it asks for it, type in your Administrator password (if you don't have one, or didn't create one, just hit Enter), you will arrive at a C:\> prompt. At this prompt, type: chkdsk /r and hit Enter. When this process is finished, (it may take awhile), eject the xpcd and reboot. You should be able to get back into windows xp. Good luck!
