When your system is attact, be it from a Virus, Trojan horse etc.. files that are associated with other programs may be corrupted. Therefore, I'm afraid, you will have to restore your system. Try to copy any files or program and re-install after the reboot. I strongly suggest that you purchase Norton System Works which includes Anti Virus and Internet security. Not only can it detect worms etc.. and block them, but it has programs that enable you to safely uninstall programs and check your system for damage!
