yep, this will work.
you can right-click on your dial up entry and share it (share tab).
how is the w98 pc connected? via a hub or via a direct network cable? does this existing
connection work i.e. can you browse the network and see the other machine.
after enabling ICS on host, reboot w98 pc. it should then configure its IP, DNS and
gateway addresses automatically (via universal PnP feature). in IE on W98 leave TCP
settings to "obtain IP automatically" etc and it *should* just work.
this is no good for VPN (teleworking) though.
try typing ipconfig at "dos/cmd" prompt on both pcs to check ip addresses are in
same range.
otherwise - no idea but hey this is the 1st time i've seen this site b4 !!
