I agree, I have had my CD-RW set to Secondary Master since I got Win XP.  Also, I 
use Roxio EZ CD Creator 5 Platinum with the fix just fine in XP.  I can also use 
the built in cd burning.

Windows XP Professional
Intel Celeron 667MHZ
256MB SDRAMM
SAMSUNG CD-R/CD-RW SW-208B
