I have a question about What
to do about error messages during Windows startup:
I keep getting an error box at every startup.I have denied startup to different programs.Didn't
help. What puzzles me is that the event log or error list says that it is a mcafee
vso/mcshield "cannot find file specified".Mcafee went to hell after it said in an
alert that some kazaa music files showed characteristics of vbs loveletter virus.Soon
after that activeshield was damaged.I ran housecall and avg.No viruses were found.I
did dump everything that was kazaa.Microsoft says that my prob is a device driver
issue.I can't delete mcafee(not yet anyway!!!!)but I did manage to disable both vso
and mcshield.I still get the error. My printer is xp compatible(epson c40ux)What should
I do next?Hopefully not system recovery!
