1st, find someone using the same operating system that you are going to go to, IE
Win98 etc - get them to make a boot disk for you, but also copy the format.exe off
there computer onto the boot floopy, can be found in C:/Windows - if not, do a search
2nd, u will need to change the boot order in your bios XP obviously boots from the
hard drive b4 anything else, we want the floppy, usually (i speak from limited experiance)
you press a button as soon as the computer starts, on my computer its Del, and on
my friends its F4, but whatever, in thier you should be able to find an option, if
not then don't read on cos i cant help you
3rd, you should eventualy come to a DOS screeen asking if you want to boot from hard
drive or cd rom, you don't want either, if you look at the bottom it should give
you a command to go to DOS, off the top of my head its Ctrl + F5 or summit, well
it should tell you
4th, now your in DOS, make sure your on the floppy prompt A: and type format C:
- should look like
A:/> foramt C:
or simiar, folow the steps and make sure u put the right CD in for instalation :D
--
this is pretty vague but use your initiave and you should be able to stumble through
it, don't worry you CAN get rid of XP i have, although i'm back on it now, it is
possible to format it
note: you must use the coropsnding boot floopy, for some reason one format.exe differes
from another
GL and gimme a e-mail if alls succesfull, if not, then tough, you shouldnt have wanted
to know :D
