generally speaking, the new HP systems come with a 'corel' word perfect 30 day trial,
if removed and office installed after, you will recv the message "error 1919 odbc
error 6"...etc.
This is due to ODBC keys missing from the registry, corels word perfect removed them....
see
http://kb.corel.com/kbdocs/UNKNOWN/WP10WIN/WP10WIN_206758.htm
Possible fix: update the system to MDAC 2.6
or find out the windows directory name if Winxp PRO/HOME
the windows directory will be listed as 'windows' or 'winnt'
find a computer that matches yours and copy the ODBC keys that are missing and import
them to your system registry, reboot system and then reinstall Office
