I feel your pain! My computer stats are just about identical to yours and I was
having the same problem. I reinstalled the entire XP pro again. It ran like a dream
for a day and a half. Now it is freezing up and missing windows.system.dat files.
Next is to reformat and go back to windows98. I am gonna follow your posts for
a bit first, and try all the suggestions you get. (i sure hate reformatting) :o(
