If you get the following error, you do not need to reset the media db, just do the following. 1. export your Registry 2. use Registry Editor to manually create a DWORD registry value that is named "ForceOnline" (with a value of 1) in the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences. This should reslove your problem with asf.
