Creating Web pages one-by-one is certainly a useful task, but realistically, you can't present much content on a single page. All but the simplest projects require interrelated Web pages numbering in the dozens, hundreds, or more. Additionally, because each Web page typically uses several constituent files, the total number of files to create, interconnect, and maintain over time can be intimidating. Site management is an area that many beginning Web designers fail to appreciate. Hard experience is frequently the best teacher in this regard, and if you want to try this approach, go ahead. But if you'd rather learn from the experience of experts, please consider the approaches described in this chapter. Microsoft FrontPage 2002 comes equipped with a broad collection of highly useful tools that can help you create a well-organized site and keep it organized over time. As your expertise grows, you'll probably come to appreciate these features even more than the WYSIWYG editor that possibly drew you to FrontPage in the first place.
